Recently recognised at the Master Builders awards 2019 in the category of Best Custom Home, Moat’s Corner is a testament to the quality of workmanship and skill Icon Synergy is known for. Materials and construction techniques were specifically applied, in a commitment to quality that is apparent in every aspect of this project.
An exercise in minimalism and precision, this home soaks up every element of its unique surrounds on Moat’s Corner, Mornington Peninsula. Set amongst five acres of mature botanical gardens, the idea for the placement of the house was to allow views through and around, under and over – to the significant gardens on the property, some that have existed for over 90 years. One arm of the building sits perched, canopy height, over a fin stone wall, allowing the landscape to nestle gently under and around the structure with minimal disturbance.
