Demolition & New Build

All about the views.

Location: Mount Eliza, Mornington Peninsula

Floor Area: 472m²

Outdoor Area: 181m²

We built Royston Court on a sloping site within walking distance to the beach. The house runs across the block with every room facing out onto views of Port Phillip Bay. The modernist design features timber, render, Alucobond® and glass meaning that the junctions and detailing, where different materials met, were key to achieving the desired look.

Ultra thin roof profiles required Icon Synergy to manufacture and install custom flashings and guttering, so as not to compromise the lightness of the design.

The Royston project was expansive. The footprint included three bedrooms, a guest wing and gym, and a garage with boat storage, two cars and a sizeable collection of camping gear. Icon Synergy used screw piles for the foundations as identified in the geotechnical survey and detailed by the engineers.

We pride ourselves on not only knowing the right materials for the job (particularly in coastal environments), but also putting them together as specified, to last.
